Whilst the company was formed in the North East of England , the way we work flexibly, remotely and from home means that we can employ the best town planner in various locations.
We have big growth plans to have local town planners across the UK and we have expanded into the Midlands through the appointment of Chrissy Farrer as a Town Planning Consultant.
We hope that branching out into the Midlands will allow clients from the region easy access to Planning House’s expertise and experience for any town planning issue a client may have. Our town planning consultant in the Derby area brings us closer to the major business centres and cities across the Midlands.
Chrissy is a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years Development Management experience dealing with a wide range of development types and scales, including being the lead case officer for the National Football Centre (St George’s Park) near Burton upon Trent.
Her experience includes providing detailed pre-application advice, determining applications, handling appeal work, Section 106 work, presentation at committee, liaison with consultees and the public and being involved with enforcement cases, development briefs, EIA cases and screening opinions.
Chrissy is definitely a Gamekeeper turned Poacher having worked at a senior level town planner within East Staffordshire Borough Council, South Derbyshire, South Derbyshire District Council and Litchfield District Council.
As an expert in town planning Chrissy adopts a methodical, creative and analytical approach to cases and an ability to find and negotiate solutions to schemes to get them ‘over the line’. With her Local Planning Authority experience she recognises that it’s often the detail of schemes that needs ‘tweaking’ to secure a favourable outcome.
Having an ability to navigate and examine planning issues in an honest and straightforward manner and an understanding that each project and each client’s aims and needs are unique, Chrissy provides a tailored and often empathetic approach to every client.
