Chris Pipe, Founder/Director

Chris has a wealth of experience in the Town Planning industry and as former Head of Planning for a Council, working as UK Planning & Land Director for a large PLC and by launching Planning House in 2016 she knows her way through the planning system from a unique perspective, which is why the label ‘Gamekeeper turned Poacher’ has never been more appropriate.

Chris has experience in all aspects of Town Planning in both the public and private sector. Her skills vary from managing the entire planning function at a Council (Policy, Development Management, Enforcement, Conservation and Archaeology), to handling large scale complex schemes to working with an individual who needs straightforward realistic planning advice.  Chris prides herself on being able to cut through the red tape and offers an open and straightforward approach to clients.  This is one of the reasons we offer a range of FREE eBooks, Practical Guides and Blogs.

Chris is based in the North East however the projects she’s involved in are spread the UK.  Take a look at some of the successful schemes that Chris has been involved in: Chris’s Work and what she offers as a North East Town Planning Consultant. Outside of work you’ll find Chris with her family, or walking her three dogs (Fozzie, Bear & Rowlf – clearly she loves the Muppets) generally to a pub for a cheeky glass of red wine.
