Planning House secured planning permission for the conversion and extension of a recently closed public house into a convenience store within the Easington Village Conservation Area, Co. Durham. The site is on a prominent corner within the village, with its own dedicated car park to the rear. Within 10 weeks the store transformed from vacant pub to trading store, bringing much needed retail choice to the area. Advertisement consent was also secured for the various signage on the building. The new use and adverts complements the area and was supported by Durham Planning Department.
