Planning House provided planning support to Steve Dodds at SJD Architects Ltd to assist with securing planning permission for 59 industrial units comprising a mix of B2 and B8 use classes.
Use Class B2 relates to – General industrial
Use for the carrying on of an industrial process.
Use Class B8 relates to – Storage or distribution
Use for storage or as a distribution centre including open air storage.
The site is within an existing industrial estate on a piece of vacant land. The additional employment opportunities provided by the approved development would also generate increased local spending which will in turn support other businesses in the local area.
The development will deliver direct investment to the site in terms of new construction to add to the existing industrial estate offer. It will demonstrate investor confidence in the site and surrounding area which may encourage further investment in the area and support the development and expansion of the other businesses in the area.
