Planning Success – New Homes in Butterknowle

Planning House produced a planning statement, was involved in meetings, negotiations and represented our clients Amsted Developments at Durham County Planning Committee to secure planning permission for 5 new homes in Butterknowle.

The application was called into committee by a Councillor who objected to the development and at the planning committee an objector spoke against the scheme. Despite this it was approved with 12 votes to 1 abstention by the planning committee in Durham, subject to a contribution towards Biodiversity Net Gain to be secured via a legal agreement and conditions.

The approved development will deliver 5 quality detached homes on a lovely sustainable site at Butterknowle, Co. Durham.  The photo on the image associated with this article shows the beautiful view the new houses will have – stunning!

Blake Hopkinson Architecture & Design designed the houses, with technical details provide by Naturally Wild, Ergo Environmental Ltd. and SJA Transport Consultants.
