Planning House has received Discharge of Conditions approval through for a residential development which was approved 3 years ago today at Hilton Hall Farm, County Durham.
It was all systems go to get this one submitted and determined in order to make a meaningful start on site within the three years conditioned as part of the approval. When the client approached us in March it was clear that we needed to move fast in order to ensure this approval did not lapse in June when the 3 year time frame expired. Being a residential development outside development limits approved before the authority had a 5 year housing land supply it was VERY apparent that this development needed to be implemented in time.
Thanks to quick work of various consultants and proactive engagement with the Local authority the pre-commencement conditions were discharged and demolition was carried out meaning that the Council could confirm commencement of development within time! Thanks has to go to Durham County Council officers for working so quickly on this one!
