We are delighted to have secured planning permission for a major waste application for one of our recurring clients J&B Recycling in Hartlepool.
The scheme sought to significantly improve the function of the site, including:
- a large extension to an existing paper sorting shed;
- creation of additional material storage area; and
- improvements to access arrangements. To ensure no conflict between HGVs and non-commercial vehicles accessing the site meaning the operation of the site is safer.
The development also includes additional car parking including electric charging points to support the environmental ethos of the business. The latest approval supports the waste operation. J&B continue to develop and expand their recycling facility handling municipal and private waste materials.
As a part retrospective planning application it was important for our client to secure permission.
This is a brilliant result for a fantastic client who we enjoy regularly supporting with planning work across their sites in the North East. It’s also great to get this major waste application through within the target date, thanks to officers at Hartlepool Borough Council for working proactively with us on this one!
