Planning Success – Residential Development, Wimbledon

Anyone for Tennis?  The application we were involved in close to Wimbledon centre court did not have any faults!

Working with a  London Architect Guy Shorney at GBS Architectural we supported a planning proposal for a replacement dwelling in Merton.

Guy acted as agent for the client and led the application process.  Planning House produced a Planning Statement incorporating a Heritage Statement supporting the planning application for the new home in Wimbledon.

The site is located within a well-established residential area, adjacent to the Merton Wimbledon North Conservation Area.  There were heritage implications in terms of the setting of the conservation area including views.

The beautifully designed three storey 7 bedroom mansion house which retained the mature gardens replaced a 1950’s traditional two storey property which had been extended over the years.

We are thrilled that Merton Council agreed with our assessment of the proposal and approved the development.

Game Set Match! Congratulations to GBS Architecture and our client.
