Letter Appreciation Week – 6 Years In Business

At the beginning of the month, we celebrate 6 years in business.  Time has flown by since we began!  Looking back, we are proud to have grown and accomplished so much.  However, we have so much more we want to achieve.

I first started Planning House as a lifestyle business, just me, working from home in a way which was flexible for the clients I chose to work with.  For about 9 months I was happy with the way I worked. But then I started to think about the way planning consultancies worked the corporate offices, suited and booted etc and realised it didn’t have to be like that.  So I joined a business accelerator programme, what an eye opener! (Thank you NatWest!)

So began the real journey of Planning House.  Why couldn’t I develop a team who work flexibly, from home, in a non-corporate way.  Like independent planning consultants however with the support of each other and under a business umbrella.

I appreciate the sacrifices I made during my career to the detriment of my family time, and so the way Planning House operates does not allow for any sacrifices and we operate a family first approach.  This way of working works well for our clients too, in our experience 9-5 working is a thing of the past.  Which I think has become apparent during the pandemic.

I strongly believe planning is all about people and places, so our personal approach to clients is what sets us apart.  That and flexible working,

As many of you reading this may know, we have an amazing team.  Every day we get to play a small part in improving our clients’ lives, by helping them achieve their aspirations.  Whether a largescale housebuilder, a commercial developer or someone who has never been involved in the planning process before, we treat our clients the same.  With an open and honest approach, we are extremely proud of the work we get to do every day.

Our journey will continue, partnering with land agents, developers, architects, other sub-consultants, and our clients; we are truly excited about our next steps.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of our clients, colleagues in the industry and our amazing team for all of your support over the last 6 years. We are excited about the next 6 and hope you can join us along the way.
