Another brilliant planning appeal success for Planning House, this one is for a change of use of 1 bedroom annex building to a separate 1 bedroom dwelling in beautiful Cheshire.
The main issue around this appeal, being outside the development limits was whether the site is a suitable location for a dwelling, having regard to local and national planning policies. Permission was originally approved for the erection of the building to be used as a summerhouse with space for a home gym and office, it was then converted to an annexe incidental to the main house. However, this was no longer a required.
The applicants then proposed to change the use of the building to an enchanting, quaint 1 bedroom dwelling, independent from the main house. The Council refused the application on the grounds that the suite was an unsustainable location. However following the submission of evidence to prove that the site was accessible the inspector considered that the proposed development would re-use an existing building and was indeed a suitable location for a residential development.
Congratulations to our client who have finally secured planning permission for the site.
